Professional Photographers of Washington is a non-profit association, an affiliate of Professional Photographers of America, and our mission is to support one another, and the industry, by providing education, mentoring, fellowship and support for members.

We initiated this meet-up group to promote the outdoors activities offered by Sierra Club in Washington State. Our goal is to provide activities for all levels of physical abilities, including family activities. Sierra Club advocates for conservation of the land, water, and forests, and the fish and mammals who live there. We offer outings to show our members and the public what Sierra Club is doing and what we have accomplished, and to honor the magnificence of the outdoors.

… Later, I was working in the corporate sector as a graphic designer and branding consultant, making plenty of money, feeling unfulfilled, and seeking solace in weekend photography gigs and photo clubs. Soon, I was looking for ways to ditch work for photo gigs without getting caught.
